Henry Dennis took his parents to watch the Tour de France in the Pyrenees for his second birthday treat. He travelled in style on the back of our bikes through the Sunflower fields:

 

We climbed the Col de Menthe to watch the riders come by. First we watched the caravan publicitaire. It was funny!

 

The riders rode very fast up the mountain. The Discovery Channel team were just a blur, and then gone, followed by lots of team cars and press

The second time we saw the Tour it was very hot with temeperatures in the high 90s. I was glad of the sunshade that I got from the caravan!


Mum said something about mad dogs and Englishmen...
