Hi All,
Home from Majorca. It was Freezing!!!! There was a strong N wind probably
from Siberia via the Alps, and we never cycled in shorts once. There was an
overnight hailstorm which damaged many of the palm trees, and the hailstones
were still on the roadsides when we rode past midmorning.
We did a lot of good riding though, and fell in with many groups of German,
English and Spanish riders. Henry had a great time in his little seat,
though my legs suffered a bit when we were with a fast group! On the
mountains, of which we climbed several, Tinks went on at training speed (she
took her racing bike out) and then came back down to ride the last bit with
me. The descents were freezing cold, and I had to wear my cape on them
during the last two days.
We spent loads of money on new cycling kit at the cyclists' boutiques. My
Barclaycard is red hot!

The hotel was good and comfortable, and loads of cycling folks from up north
brought me up to date with developments from my past life!! Henry had a few
short sessions on the beach opposite the hotel but he was well wrapped up
and wearing wellies!! We had a balcony overlooking the beach which H called
"seeside" and there were many eegows (seagulls) flying about. H. had
a
great time, and amused everyone in the hotel with his cheerfulness. He
loved travel by plane, and on the way back he took several strolls up and
down the aircraft to talk to other passengers...
