GO-RIDE “GO FOR GOLD”! - POST-OLYMPIC ACTIVITY PROGRAMME

Following the medal success of the GB team at the Athens Olympics, British Cycling is running a special series of Go-Ride activities based at Go-Ride clubs with the aim of attracting new riders into our network of Go-Ride clubs, mainly over the weekend of 4th and 5th September. The activities will be based on the major Olympic disciplines.  This will be a great opportunity for clubs to open their doors to the community, attract new riders and benefit from the media profile of cycling in the weeks after the Games. British Cycling Regional Coaching and Club Development Officers will be working with Go-Ride registered clubs in order to maximise the opportunity that the Olympics will create to inspire and encourage young riders. Clubs will receive resources and support from British Cycling to help make the event a real success and all children taking part will receive free gifts. For details of where the Go for Gold Programme will be running in your area
