CLUB DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Free Workshops for your Club Officials and Volunteers - As an integral part of British Cycling’s club development programme, we have organised a series of workshops designed to equip your club officials and volunteers with the knowledge and skills that will help your club grow and develop. Spaces are limited so if you’d like to book a place, please contact your British Cycling Regional Coaching and Club Development Officer as soon as possible (contact details below).

 

GOOD PRACTICE AND CHILD PROTECTION (sportscoach UK)

If you are looking to develop your activities for young people, then Good Practice and Child Protection is an essential workshop. Club Welfare Officers from Go-Ride clubs need to attend this training

CLUB AND TEAM RE-AFFILIATIONS DUE FOR 2005

This week all renewal letters have been sent to club/team and school secretaries to renew for the 2005 season. The fees are currently the same as this year, ( £57.50 for  a club/association, £165 for a team or £10/30 for a school club) but are subject to change at National Council on the 26th November. If you are a club secretary and have not received your re-affiliation by early next week give membership services a call on 0161 274 2010.


CRACKING PRIZE FUND FOR MILDENHALL 'CROSS
Mildenhall CC's Cyclo-Cross at Nowton Park Bury St Edmunds has secured sponsorship from Shires Estate Agents which will mean a £250 overall prize list for the event on Sunday 10th October. The meeting is round 5 of the East Anglian Daily Times Cyclo-Cross League and the added sponsorship will result in a larger than usual 1st prize and a longer prize list in all categories. The course promises a mix of woodland and fast grass paths and should result in some good racing. Timetable Youth 11.00. BRADLEY RIDES THE REVOLUTION

Bradley Wiggins, the most successful British Olympic Athlete for 40 years, will make his first track appearance since his amazing performances in Athens at the first Revolution event of the season at Manchester Velodrome on Saturday October 23rd. Chris Hoy will also be making an appearance. With both Gold medallists riding, the event it is shaping up to be a perfect homecoming meeting, especially as they will be joined by Olympic team-mates Rob Hayles, Chris Newton, Paul Manning, Steve Cummings, Jason Queally and Jamie Staff. The event will start at 7pm and will run until around 10pm. SERRL AGM

Kim Anderson has been in touch, asking us to pass on details of the SERRL AGM 2004. The AGM is to be held at The Bull Hotel, Wrotham Village, Kent at 4pm Sunday 31st October 2004. Would representatives of all clubs wishing to ride road races in Kent within the league please try to attend this meeting so the 2005 season gets off to a flying start with full club support. THE CDNW/RECYCLING.CO.UK CYCLO CROSS RACE SERIES

This is a new Cyclo-Cross two race series at an exciting new venue. The event has the full support & co-operation of Chorley Borough Council & Leisure Services and South Lancashire Arts Partnership. To encourage youngsters to come and try Cyclo-Cross the organisers have made entry to both events free to all youth riders with reduced entry fees for Junior riders. A number of top riders who are all Ex National Champions have already indicated that they will be riding including Nick Craig, Shaun Snodden and Chris Young.
