Week ending 10th August 2003

Three riders from Somerset Road Club/Bicycle Chain rode their first 100 mile time trial on Sunday. The event was organised by Exeter Wheelers on the A38 in Devon. Even though the event started at 6 am it soon became a hot and sticky day, especially towards the finish. All 3 riders finished the event in the top 10.

Martin Pearse was the first SRC rider in a time of 4hrs 20 mins and 46 secs, at an average speed of 23 mph. Leigh Pinchen finished in 4.24.41 and Mark Kurpyta in 4.43.59.
