Tom Cox braved the wintry weather to ride 2 time trials near Arundel in the GS Stella Sporting Time Trial Weekend. On the Saturday he rode a hilly 18km course in 30 min 30 secs which was an improvement of 21 seconds over last year. The course included a hard switch back section and then a 2 mile climb to the top of the South Downs.
On Sunday he rode a hilly 40 km course in 1 hr 6 min 49 secs which was an improvement of 1 min 30 seconds on last year. The course extended the Saturday course with extra hills.
Tom was fifth on the Saturday and third fastest on the Sunday. Both events were won by Rowan Horner (VC St Raphael) with times of 26 mins 59secs for the 18km course and 58 mins 17 secs for the 42km course. There were around 80 riders for both events.
