Andy Winterbottom of Somerset RC / The Bicycle Chain came second in the Mid-Devon CC 100 mile Time Trial on Sunday, with a time of 3hrs 58min 38sec. Averaging just over 25 miles an hour on the Chudleigh / Buckfastleigh course, his time was just 31 seconds slower than the winning time of Malcolm Cox (VC St Raphael). With a rising wind during the second half of the event, they were the only two riders to get under 4 hours, with former Mendip CC rider Gary Fouracre (St Austell Wheelers) coming home third with a time of 4-05-17.

Even earlier on Sunday morning, at 5 am, Jon Wynn rode the Hounslow & District Wheelers 100 mile time trial near Oxford. He was going very strongly and was lying second after 75 miles. However, the final 25 miles were tough for him and he finished 5th in 3hrs 57 mins and 53 secs.

On Thursday evening Greg Sandy (Team Endurasport and SRC) won Mid Devon CC's 25 mile time trial at Buckfastleigh in a personal best of 51.16.

Tom Cox was as busy as ever. On Tuesday, he rode Plymouth CC's 2 up time trial with Dave Bentley (Kona Cycles and SRC) finishing 5th in 21 min 50 secs. On Sunday, he rode Newbury RC's 25 mile time trial, coming 4th in 59 min 3 sec.
