Ten Somerset Road Club members competed in the C.S. Dynamo (Exmouth) 2 up time trial on the S26R 10 mile course near Honiton. There was a stiff cross wind which made it difficult to get shelter. John Wynn and Andy Winterbottom won the event in a great time of 21.11.
Mark Kurpyta and Tim Reeves were 8th with 23.37. Leigh Pinchen and Martin Pearce were 9th with 23.38.
Derek Henson and and Greg Venn were timed at 25.46 with Ray Pollard and Richard Hill at 26.08.
Dave Bentley (ex Somerset Road Club) and John Hollier, riding for the Kona team, were placed 4th in 22.32.
Meanwhile Tom Cox and Rick Johnson rode the Port Talbot Wheelers C.C. 2 up time trial on the R25/3G course in South Wales. They completed the 25 miles in a very respectable time of 56.04, coming 10th out of 120 riders..
