A trio of Somerset Road Club Riders travelled to South Wales for the Acme Wheelers (Rhondda) CC's 25 mile time trial on Sunday morning. There was a large field of riders with 78 finishers. Jon Wynn beat several established fast riders and recorded a great time of 52 minutes 23 seconds, beating his last season's fastest time by over a minute, to finish 2nd overall.
Mark Kurpyta also recorded a great time, beating his personal best by a wide margin and finishing as 2nd veteran in a time of 57.54. On an unseasonally sunny day, Tom Cox suffered from the heat towards the end and finished in a time of 58.50, below his usual standard.
