The Exeter
Wheelers 25km 'sporting' TT on Sunday was based on a 25k circuit starting at
Topsham and taking in climbs through Woodbury Common, finishing at Clyst St
George. The weather was fairly chilly but luckily dry throughout.
The winner, Graham Lackford (Team Alcan) in 37.44, was clear by almost 2 minutes
from the rest of the field of 51 riders.
Results from SRC riders were Martin Pearse in 42.14, Tim Reeves in 42.22, Mark
Kurpyta in 43.28 and Greg Venn in 46.51. Leigh Pinchen punctured after 2 miles
then stopped at HQ for repairs before completing the circuit in 52.23.
