SRC Chairman, Tom Cox, travelled all the way to Austria for the World Masters Time Trial Championship on Wednesday 25th August. The course was a 20km, out and back, course on roads based around a villiage called St Johann in Tirol.
Tom rode in the 50-54 age category and finished in a time of 28 minutes 41
seconds, which placed him about
halfway up the field. The event was won by a New Zealander, Jon Alibaster, in
a time of 25-32.
On Bank Holiday Monday, 30th August, Tom Cox was back in England
to ride the A3CRG 50 mile Time Trial, with Jon Wynn, on the P885/50 course at
Petersfield in Hants. Jon Wynn recorded a season's best time of 1hr 50 minutes
and 57 seconds to take 4th place out of 83 riders. Tom also achieve a season's
best, in 2-0-49, placing him 16th.
