On Saturday, in his last time trial of the season, Greg Sandy (Alcan Bianchi and Somerset Road Club) won the Yeovil CC 10 mile time trial on the U361 near Frome by over a minute. His time of 20 minutes and 35 seconds was very fast, considering the wet and windy conditions.
On Sunday, Somerset Road Club/Bicycle Chain chairman Tom Cox rode the Sotonia CC 25 mile time trial on the P612 course between Andover and Basingstoke. The rolling course includes an uphill section after the turn and a testing uphill finish but Tom finished in a good time of 56.51, placing him 12th.
